Wichita nonprofit Empower spoke with the Wichita Business Journal about its five-years-in-the-making transformation of the historic Nomar Theater into Provecho, a new food hall and events venue in the city’s North End. The project will combine the shuttered 1929 theater with an adjacent building to create a multi-purpose space for live music, movie screenings and community gatherings — all while preserving the historic character of the original façade.
