A Night of Inspiration: Brewer, Musician Kemet Coleman Shares His Secrets to Success
Artists, entrepreneurs, and creative minds came together at Charlotte Street on March 12 for an unforgettable evening of inspiration and insight.
AltCap’s SECRETS TO SUCCESS series welcomed the multi-talented Kemet Coleman, whose journey as a musician, entrepreneur, and community builder has made a lasting impact on Kansas City’s creative landscape.
Kansas City artists and entrepreneurs kicked off the night with networking, including fashion designer Princess Hopkins, jewelry artist Paulina Otero, muralist and visual artist Phil Shafer, and inventor Jon Sabillon.
Dining on handcrafted bites from Graze & Gather KC and refreshing brews from Vine Street Brewing Co., about 40 attendees mingled before an engaging and personal conversation with Coleman, who’s also a co-founder of Vine Street.
With a candid, down-to-earth approach, Kemet shared the financial strategies that have helped shape his success — shedding light on a topic that many creatives often overlook.
From smart money management to securing financial opportunities, he offered practical advice for artists navigating the complexities of entrepreneurship. Attendees asked thoughtful questions, sparking a meaningful dialogue about balancing passion with financial sustainability.
The night concluded with a tour of Charlotte Street’s gallery and studios, providing even more inspiration for the creatives in the room.
