ARTcap details

  • ARTcap helps artists and creatives in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas to quickly access loans from $1,000 to $10,000 to start up, operate, or grow a business.

    This microloan offers a unique support element where interested applicants can access an ARTcap Artist Coach to help them develop their businesses and navigate the loan process.

  • This microloan is available to sole proprietors, LLCs, and corporations at any stage of growth that are located in Kansas, Missouri or Texas.

    It can be used for supplies, new equipment, space improvements, marketing, payroll, and more.

    No collateral is required. Credit scores of 600 and higher will be considered, and lending decisions can be made within 5–7 business days after all application documents are received.

    • Ensure your financial statements are up to date, accurate, and clearly reflect an understanding of your business operations.

    • Craft a detailed and well-supported plan for how you will use the funds. This should include the projected return on investment, whether through potential revenue growth or operational efficiencies.

    • Prioritize building relationships with your lenders by maintaining open communication and demonstrating a track record of reliability — this can significantly enhance your chances of loan approval.

    • Explore all your options, whether they involve traditional bank loans, SBA loans, or specialized industry-specific funding programs.

    • Maintain liquidity and reduce existing liabilities whenever possible to improve the overall financial health of your business and make it more attractive to lenders.

  • Here are the following fees and terms for ARTcap:

    • $1,000-1,999: 4% origination fee; $15/mo service fee; 11% interest rate; payable over 12 months

    • $2,000-3,999: 4% origination fee; $15/mo service fee; 11% interest rate; payable over 24 months

    • $4,000-10,000: 2% origination fee; $15/mo service fee; 11% interest rate; payable over 36 months

    There is no fee for an early payoff.

  • Applicants who are sole proprietors or starting a business will need:

    • One form of picture ID

    • Resume / portfolio / work experience

    • Most recent year of personal tax returns, including all schedules

    • Proof of income

    Applicants with existing businesses will also be required to submit (if applicable): tax forms, financial statements, and organizational documents.

    After submitting the application, the ARTcap Administrator will contact you to talk through required documents and next steps.
